Set up expiration date for Credits

his setting determines how long a credit transaction remains valid. For example, if set to 30, the credit will stay on the customer’s account for 30 days from the issue date. After that, it will expire if unused.

How to set up

Please go to Programs > Manage or Create Cashback and you will see the Credit expiration settings.

You can enter the number of days for credits to be available here.

How it works

  • The Expiration will only be applied for new orders since you set up this feature. Credits that customer earned before you set up Expiration Date will stay on the account for unlimited days.
  • The Expiration will work on each transaction, not the total credit account.

Let’s say you set up the expiration date as 30 days and a customer has just collected $10 credit for a new order.

It means that once you fulfill that order, the customer will officially get $10 as credit on their account. After 30 days since fulfilled, if the customer does not redeem the credit, $10 will be expired from his total credit amount.

How to notify customers about the Expiration Credit

The expiration date will show on the Credit Reward History on Customer Account:

You can edit these messages on the Content and Translation section. Please note that the param {expired_date} or {expired_amount} should not be removed or edited so we can show the correct data for each customers.
