Send new credit notifications using Koin default email

Koin can automatically send a notification email to your customers whenever a store credit is issued. Once set up, the email is sent immediately after the credit transaction is created successfully.

Here’s what the email looks like:

How to set up:

• Go to your Koin Dashboard > Programs.
• Select your Cashback or Custom program.
• Find the Email Notifications section.
• Edit the Email Subject and Email Body fields.

Editable fields:

• Email Subject
• Email Body.

You can use parameters such as credit amount, total balance, currency, and shop name. Click Add params for details.

There are fixed fields that can not changed:

• The Shop Now button
• The overall template (color, font..) of the email.

Notes

• If you want more flexibility in designing your emails, you can use external tools such as Klaviyo or Shopify Email. Learn more at Send credit notification email with Shopify Email and Send credit notification email with Klaviyo.
• When using an external tool, kindly disable the Email Notification setting in Koin to avoid sending duplicate emails.
• Customers who have unsubscribed from your marketing emails might still receive this notification, as it’s sent through a different email service. They will need to unsubscribe directly from this type of email if they no longer wish to receive credit notifications.
