Bulk Issue and Deduct Store Credit with Credit Adjustment

The Credit Adjustment tool allows you to manually issue or deduct store credit for customers, either individually or in bulk. This feature is ideal for handling promotions, refunds, compensation, or correcting credit balances. All adjustments are applied instantly and recorded for easy tracking.


Issue/Deduct Store credit to a single account

Adjust single account


The Adjust single account feature allows you to manually issue or deduct store credit for a specific account.

This feature is ideal for handling one-off cases such as issuing refunds via store credit, compensating customers, granting manual promotions, or deducting credits when customers return orders.


How to access


Go to Credit adjustment > Adjust store credit > Adjust single account




Set-up instruction:


  1. Choose Adjustment type


Credit (+): Issue additional store credit to the account


Debit (-): Deduct store credit from the account


  1. Choose Adjustment for


Customer: Adjust credit for an individual customer


Company location: Adjust credit for a specific company location. This option is typically used for B2B stores that manage credits at the company or location level.


  1. Select the account


  1. Enter credit details


Currency: Select the currency you are using


Amount: Enter the credit amount to issue or deduct


  1. Enter the adjustment reason


Provide a reason to help track and audit credit adjustments later.


Examples: Refund via store credit


  1. Notify customers via Shopify notifications


  1. Set Expiration date (optional)


No expiration date: The issued credit will not expire


Set expiration date: Define a validity period for the credit


After you setup the settings and click the "Apply" button, all adjustments are applied instantly and recorded in the Credit adjustment history.


Issue/Deduct Store credit for many accounts at a time


The Bulk adjust feature allows you to issue or deduct store credit for multiple accounts at once by uploading a CSV file.

This feature is ideal for large-scale actions such as mass compensation, promotional credit campaigns, refunds for multiple orders, or correcting credit balances in bulk.


How to access


Go to Credit adjustment > Adjust store credit > Bulk adjust





Set-up instruction


  1. Choose Adjustment type

Select how you want to adjust credits for all accounts in the file:


Credit (+): Issue store credit to multiple accounts


Debit (-): Deduct store credit from multiple accounts


  1. Download CSV template


After downloading, the file will look like the example shown below, please use this template to ensure the file format and required fields are correct.


  1. Upload the CSV file


After filling in all required information, click Add files to upload the completed CSV file.


The system accepts .csv files only. Other file formats will not be supported, so please make sure the file follows the provided template and all required fields are correctly filled before uploading.


Notes:

  • All successful adjustments are applied instantly.
  • Expiration Date must follow the same format as shown in the CSV file ( YYYY-MM-DD )
  • The value entered in the Amount field must be greater than 0. Credit adjustments with an amount of 0 or negative values are not allowed.
