Notify customers about expiring Credits
With Koin, you can set up Expired dates for Credit, which encourages customers to buy again soon to take advantage of their earned amount.
And then, if you want to notify customers about almost-expiring credits, You can use Shopify Segments - Shopify Flow - Shopify Email/Klaviyo altogether to set up this flow.
Step 1: Create specific Customer Segment.
On Shopify Customers section, create a Customers segment for those customers that have almost-expired store credits.
Shopify create some segment templates that can be used in certain cases.
- Notify customers about expiring Credits: use Customers with store credit expiring in the next 7 days.
- Notifying customers who haven’t used their store credit for a certain period: use Customers who have not used their store credit after 1 month
Step 2: Create Shopify Flow to send email when customers join that segment
At this step, you will need to use Shopify Email or Klaviyo to set up and send the email.
2.1 If you use Shopify Email
- Select trigger: Customer joins Segments, and select the exact segment you created above
- Action: Send Marketing Email
- Select an Email Template or code your own template that fit this case
2.2 If you use Klaviyo
Please refer to this video about how to set up email notification with Klaviyo.
In this scenario, most steps are the same as shown in the video, except for the trigger event. Instead of triggering the Flow when Store Credit is issued by Koin, you will set it to trigger when customers join the segment in Step 1.
