Auto issue credit on customer's birthday

If you saved your customer's birthdays as a Customer metafield, you can set up a Koin program to automatically issue them credits as Birthday gift.

I. Create Customer Segment

You will need to create a customer segment that includes members with birthday today.

Go to Customers > Segments > template > use the keyword "Birthday" to use the sample segment. You can refer to the sample segment and update based on the metafield you set.

II. Create a Koin custom program

Go to Koin > Programs and create a new custom program for this scenario. You can set up the credit amount you want to issue the customers.

III. Create Shopify Flow

Create a Flow with this logic:

• Whenever a new customer joins the Segment on step I
• Double check if customer have been issued this promotion on this year or not (by checking the metafield)
• If they have not, then issue credit (with the program on the previous step)
• Then, update the metafield to make sure customers won't receive birthday credits again this year.
